About the Author

Bill G Johnston

Bill was born into a US Air Force family that frequently moved between military bases in Kansas, Louisiana, Washington, California, Alaska, and Maryland. His father instilled in him and his brother a strong sense of commitment and perseverance, while his mother was their inspiration for kindness and a relentless thirst for knowledge. After graduating from Arundel High School in Odenton, Maryland, Bill accepted a job at the National Security Agency (NSA). Through hard work, good fortune, and lots of night classes at the University of Maryland, he advanced from GS-3 to senior executive ranks. During his time at NSA, Bill established personal and professional relationships with domestic and foreign intelligence partners; produced countless technical, analytic, strategic, and predictive papers; and crafted briefings and speeches that were presented to thousands of people. After leaving NSA, Bill accompanied Anna–a cybersecurity expert and US Army veteran–to Harrogate, England where she encouraged him to try his hand at writing fiction.

Currently, Bill lives near Colorado Springs, Colorado where he completed his first thriller novel, Just Plane Deadly, with a second one, Talon’s Code, close behind. When Bill isn’t writing, he’s probably fishing; stubbornly rooting for the Raiders (no matter how futile that continues to be); or risking a few bucks at a Las Vegas table game with his two gambling buds, John and Craig.
